Carbolite Gero’s LHT series comprises laboratory furnaces for a huge variety of high temperature applications. They are used for high vacuum applications up to <5x10-6 mbar and particularly pure atmospheres under hydrogen.
Thanks to the compact design of the LHT furnaces they can be operated in Research and Development laboratories without difficulty. The LHTG model is based on graphite heating elements and insulation material and is designed for operation at 2200 °C; however, versions with a maximum temperature of 3000 °C are also available. The LHTW and LHTM models are equipped with heat seals and heating elements of tungsten, resp. molybdenum with a maximum operating temperature of 2200 °C (tungsten) resp. 1600 °C (molybdenum). The LHT series covers a wide range of applications as the furnaces are available in both graphite and metal versions.
The standard version of the LHT series possesses a useable space with a diameter of 100 mm and a heated height of 200 mm, respectively 200 mm diameter and 300 mm heated height. Small useable spaces are ideal for heating small sample volumes, and allow for a compact furnace design. The standard software requires manual operation but is also available as a fully automated version. Both versions permit data logging for further analyses. The LHT furnaces are always used with a rotary vane pump when operated in the pre vacuum. Depending on the vacuum requirements it will be combined with a roots pump or a turbo molecular pump.
The laboratory furnaces of the LHT series are ideally suited for high temperature applications in research and industrial laboratories. Apart from their compact design and easy operation they are characterized by very efficient operation without compromising temperature homogeneity and atmospheric quality.
